An enjoyable afternoon gathering fallen chestnuts.

Usually, we go too early and the nuts are not ripe.

This year, we probably left it a week or two late. Most of the nuts were off the tree and the husks on the ground empty. However, those that were there, like these, were nice and brown if a little smaller than you find in the shops.
