This is the Star and Garter just before its demolition. [It's not you ... it's a fuzzy picture from a mobile 'phone in a moving car]

It had been derelict for too long and is now gone.

The concensus from my close circle is that the choice of landscaping the site is a good one. Also, that very few of us actually used the pub when it was open.

Certainly, I only went in once and that was to play darts. It wasn't in a match, just for fun. My recollection is that the Star and Garter had a very good "Kent Blind League" team.
