It was a lovely day for a walk and, without time to explore the countryside, we did a lap of the Sports Ground.
Every collector has their price. £100 was just too much for my friend.

This one had been signed by 10 WWII pilots, hence the price tag.
Bradford Street was closed for a few days to fit some metal posts with the intention of protecting the buildings that have been damaged by lorries.
However, who'll protect the posts? [Updated: 21 Mar 2007]

I tried to think of the reason a pile of change was left on the platform at Sevenoaks.

I can only think that it was a nuisance in the pocket.

We joined Lorraine's quiz team held at Ashridge and won!
I was very cross when a stone flew up from the road and caused a star burst on the driver's side for the screen.
As luck would have it, there was the offer of "free" repair on offer in the HomeBase car park.

Not only did it work, it was also quite interesting.

Scene in the High Street when I walked home from work. I wondered if anyone had had a scare when it came down.

Should have known it would have been Ed (and Ed)!
Back to normal next day, though

I got a call on my mobile 'phone this afternoon from a number I didn't recognise ( 0907 ...)
It wasn't a single ring but a call that I answered to hear a voice apparently having difficulty hearing me ... "Hello? Hello? Hello?".
Trusting person that I am, I called the number back using the 'phone on the desk. I got a message saying "Trying to connect you", followed by a ringing tone that didn't get answered.
Then I Googled for "0907 scam" and thought ... WHAT A SAD WAY TO EARN A LIVING.
