What with the panic buying after the recent rise in petrol prices the mob might just be off to Somerfield to stock up with Corn Flakes ...

Although there are still fixtures on the card, there'll be no more home games. After the first Saturday in September the ground is given over to football.
But it's not time to put our feet up. There's a lot of hard work required to make sure the square will be ready for next year.
Went with a small party of Kent cricket fans to watch the match between Kent and Middlesex. The Telegraph posted a better report of the day's play than I can manage.

There is no doubt that the 2005 Ashes Series is producing some wonderful entertainment.

It is also getting good coverage in the media. However, a small piece entitled Top of the charts by Sue Mott in today's Daily Telegraph had a rather sorry conclusion:

Not sure why, but I expected it to be a little darker than the earlier film. However, although the naughty children are still humiliated on their way out, it isn't ever scary (though it is rated PG).

We had a family bike ride along this new cycle route the first weekend it opened. It was popular with other as well!
A minor adjustment of the .htaccess file and both blogs are visible.
