I helped out at the Scout Fayre on Saturday morning. There's a lot of preparation by the committe, and there were a good number of volunteers. I hope the many 20p coins we collected adds up to a good total.

It was a lovely day for a walk and, without time to explore the countryside, we did a lap of the Sports Ground.
Bradford Street was closed for a few days to fit some metal posts with the intention of protecting the buildings that have been damaged by lorries.

I'd heard that it was wet at Swanmead so I went down to have a look for myself. It is!
And to think we're supposed to be playing cricket before the month is out.

Waking up to snow this moring was a surprise.
It was a lovely day on Saturday when we cut the lawn for the first time this year. In fact, we were shaking our heads at the weather that caused the Sunderland v Fulham match to be abandoned.

After spending 2 weeks travelling around with a boot full of plastic bottles, we finally located a place where they can be recycled.
