I was really pleased that my BT Shop order for new 'phones, which I placed yesterday, arrived today. That was quick!

However, once again, I'm left wondering how much fresh air is carried around the country every day. This time, the box was six times larger than it needed to be.

If you go to all that trouble to print a box, surely use's [sic] would stand out as a mistake?

I thought this was unusual but, it appears, abuse in plurals is not rare. There's examples and advice at The Apostrophe Protection Society.

My friend's Windows 98 PC is on its last legs so I'm donating him a spare with a WinXP upgrade.
