I quite like the gentle competition that is served up on Bargain Hunt

Yesterday, expert Kate Bliss selected a rather nice jug as the bonus buy for the blue team. It was exactly the same as the one my sister-in-law used as a water jug later that afternoon.

• The auctioneer's estimate was £50 to £80
• It actually sold for £32

My sister-in-law paid £1 for hers!
